Fun times in Stamford

Here are some pictures of our trip to Stamford and some of the fun things we did.
Thursday afternoon we headed to the beach. It was very relaxing, however even with sunblock the right side of me is sunburnt and on fire. lol  Guess even the sunblock can't take the direct heat of the sun. :(

We picked some neat seashells to take back for the kids. They're gonna love this one. You can't really see all the details, but it has additional shells on top that look like two eyes and an indention for a nose. They will love it!

Stamford held an "Alive @ Five" event Thursday evening. It is something they do all summer long every Thursday night downtown where they completely shut down the road and it is an absolute madhouse with people. It was really interesting....for a sober person. lol  Everyone seemed drunk and while we were sitting at a table eating some yummy pizza a man literally picked up a woman and slammed her into our table knocking over our drinks and I'm pretty sure her hair went in my food. :-\
The acted like everything was fine so we attributed it to their drunkenness.
The live band was The Wallflowers. That was really fun to watch!

Obviously there are no guarantees with IVF so many women use good luck charms. I was finally able to find some beads I've been looking for to make a bracelet for good luck. Here are the stones and what they mean to our journey. I even bought some Swarovski crystals to bling it up some :)

Moonstone - has a reflective and calming energy by balancing emotions due to stress and anxiety. It is said to have the power to grant wishes. Rose Quartz - is said to aid increasing fertility. It is also helpful with headaches, migraines, sexual dysfunction, depression, addictions, earaches, and in weight loss. Rose quartz is helpful and protective during pregnancy and with childbirth. Emotionally, rose quartz brings forgiveness, compassion, as well as balancing one's emotions. It helps with healing emotional wounds and traumas. Rose quartz removes fears, resentments, and anger.

Aventurine - is used to encourage pregnancy and enhance fertility. It is considered the stone of love which can boost all feelings and emotions and also promote optimism and self-confidence. It is also believed that this stone can help to win over the heart of the loved one. It is also used to promote friendships, happiness, and increasing luck.

Turtle - adds fertile blessings. Turtles are believed to be a powerful symbol of fertility due to the number of eggs they lay. 

 

We also went and seen "Man of Steel" which was a nice time out for us together. And the movie was good too :)
